Things:

- In continuing rpg news, I have decided that there are, indeed, sled dogs in space. Possibly giant sled dogs the size of ponies. This is science fantasy, I do what I want.

- I had a long weekend this past weekend, and did a bunch of yarn crafts. Including some yarn dyeing - I wanted to start another of my Christmas 2022 knitting projects, but hadn't been able to buy yarn in the kind of bright greens I wanted, so I made my own.

- Also, I have completed my 100 day dress challenge - my 100th day was the 10th. I've really enjoyed doing it and am, in fact, wearing the dress today, but I'm very glad not to have to take daily pictures anymore. I'm also looking forward to going back to wearing some of my other clothes again, but I imagine this dress (and my prize dress!) are going to remain major parts of my daily wardrobe.

Oh, that yarn is beautiful spring green colors! That's lovely! It's so cool that you could dye it yourself, too. :)

Thank you! It's amazing what you can do with just food coloring and vinegar, really.

Oh wow, yeah! I wouldn't have guessed it'd be so simple to make such pretty colors.

It doesn't work with cellulose fibers like cotton, but yeah, you can dye animal fibers like wool or silk with food coloring and vinegar, or koolaid (with no acid at all) and get some really cool results. I used the Wilton's gel food coloring for this, since they have a fun range of colors that are vivid without using a huge amount of dye.

I'd like to do more natural dyeing someday but a lot of that requires chemicals that aren't foodsafe so you to have separate pots set aside for dyeing, whereas food coloring lets me just use the pots I already have.

Possibly giant sled dogs the size of ponies is amazing, and that yarn is amazing. Congrats on finishing the dress challenge too!
