My boss keeps trying to buy me tea.

Which, okay, is nice of her. But a) I bring my own everyday, b) I don't like to buy tea from coffee places because it's always stupid hot and I have to add ludicrous numbers of sugar packets (which I don't currently have), and c) no means no. But she is big into buying drinks for people and today brought my coworker a drink and just included a cup of tea for me without asking. Because, if she had asked, I would have said no. Like I have every other time she's asked me.

So now I have this ridiculously hot beverage that's not going to be anywhere near sweet enough (hours from now, when I can drink the damned thing) which I don't even want because I brought my own tea (which is properly sweetened and at a drinkable temperature).

It's sweet of her to want to do nice things for me, yes. I just wish that she would try to do nice things that I actually want, rather than nice things that are awkward and unpleasant and leaving me drinking things that don't taste good.

Maybe we have sugar in the office somewhere.

Dear the internet,

Do you have a good recipe for pumpernickel bread/bagels? I am fully aware that there are lots of them out there and available on google, but the last time I tried that, I ended up with a recipe that made bread that was in no way pumpernickel. So this time I have decided to ask you, and thus possibly find a recipe that's semi-approved.

Pumpernickel bread, anybody?
