Aug. 31st, 2010 01:41 pmThings:
- Yesterday, I made these. They kinda took all day, but they were totally worth it. The crust is a little tough - I think I overworked it somewhat - but the filling is really tasty.
- Continuing the theme of experimental cooking, last night for dinner I made myself a tofu stirfry. Because, honestly, if I liked tofu, that would be pretty awesome and would give me a lot more dietary options. Except that, turns out, I don't like tofu. At all. Ah, well.
- Apparently, the Kingston library was broken into on Friday night. Not that I noticed when we opened on Saturday. I found out this morning. They stole $93. Let me repeat that: someone broke into the Kingston library and stole ninety-three dollars. What the hell, people?
- Between ridiculous flex time for upcoming Labor Day and ridiculous flex time for the staff meeting next week, I get to take this Thursday entirely off. This is silly but also kinda awesome. Perhaps there will be more experimental cooking.

Aug. 31st, 2010 03:43 pmDear Patron,
I appreciate you responding so quickly to our phone call about the dvd case that you had returned sans dvd. We're glad to have the disc back. And I do, to a certain extent, appreciate that you want to keep our materials clean and dry, despite the current rainy conditions.
However. I would really appreciate it if, next time, you did not stand in front of me, pull up your vest, and then rub the dvd all over your shirt - all over your stomach - in an attempt to dry it. Because I kinda feel like I need to somehow sanitize the disc now.
We have paper towels, y'know?
