(no subject)

So, we're starting to get ready for summer reading (since it's only a month and a half away) and we've gotten artwork and posters to put up advertising the program. It looks like this.

Apparently, everyone but me thinks it is freaky and grotesque. I think it is freaky and grotesque, yes, but also pretty cool and a logical outgrowth of the work of Dr Seuss. But then, I generally tend to like David Catrow's art.

What do you guys think?

(I mean, not that we can do anything about it, even if everyone hated it. It's the artwork we've got. Still, I am interested in people's opinions.)

Ow.

Somehow, on my dinner break, I managed to fuck up my shoulder. It's not a truly amazing amount of pain but I kinda have to hold it funny to keep it from hurting and it's impairing my ability to turn my head to the left. Also, it's the kind of pain that's slowly traveling down my arm (the discomfort has thus far reached my elbow) and it's starting to make me slightly nauseous. I keep attempting to crack it, in hopes that that will put right whatever the hell I screwed up. So far, it has not worked.

I am not terribly pleased by this turn of events, let me tell you.

Also, I am not pleased by the fact that I have to stay at work for another two hours.

ETA - Must remember to stop trying to nod emphatically. Ouch.
