Today, I checked in a children's dvd entitled "Taking the 'Duh' out of Divorce."

I stared at it for about a minute, trying to figure out what the hell that meant, until I realized that the title is a play on words that really doesn't work if (like me) you tend to say "dih-vorce."

I feel like it shouldn't have taken me that long to figure out.

This reminds me of a nice story. I worked Customer Service years ago, and one of our reps got a call from a woman and, during the course of the conversation, asked the woman how to spell her first name.

She had to cut the mike on her phone and get herself under control, then told us later the woman had spelled her name including the helpful hint "I as in sugar."

('I' pronounced very aah, and sugar as in 'sugah.' But still.)
