darchildreAll right. The last few days have been full of depressing posts and today the weather is horrible again, but instead of focusing on that, I am going to post about happy things. Here goes:
- It is bucketing down rain, as it has been for the last several days. However, I am inside and warm and dry. And I don't have to go outside for any reason whatever until 8 o'clock tonight. (ETA - Oh, and now it's thundering! Awesome!)
- I decided to dress up today - jacket and tie-with-a-tie-bar and all - and I look awesome.
- Today, while buying my dinner, I found myself craving jelly candy. (Not gummi - jelly candy. Different.) So I found chocolate covered raspberry jellysticks and bought them and they are delicious. Just what I wanted. I should learn to make jelly candy.
- I have been reading Star Trek: TOS novels on my kindle recently and they are pretty much made of love. I'm in the middle of rereading The Wounded Sky. It makes me so happy.
- The socks I'm currently knitting are pretty nifty. I'm using this yarn in Blue Yonder and it's gorgeous. I'll link to the pattern but I can't find it anywhere but on ravelry, where you need an account to see it. But if you're on ravelry, it's this one, which is pretty and just complicated enough not to be boring while not becoming so complicated that it's frustrating for me. I even managed to not get bored with the pattern for long enough to actually make the leg the right length! They're going to be awesome socks when they're done.
