Dec. 28th, 2009 08:22 pmThings of today:
- Kinda sorta went to see the Sherlock Holmes movie again. Yes. Hi, my name is Sara, and I will be your dork for this evening.
- Dude behind me in the movie theater pulled my hair. Now, I'm pretty sure it was wholly accidental, and I'm sure that I partially bring it on myself by my habit of taking my hair out of my ponytail at the movies (because it is more comfortable that way, especially the bits when, because I am well pleased by something, I sink down rather far in the chair), but it always freaks me out a little. My hair. Do not touch.
- Am beginning a hopefully-not-too-annoying-or-pushy campain to get Megan to actually read some Sherlock Holmes stories because a) I really do think that she'd like them* and b) then there would be someone in the house I could talk about them with. This is somewhat hampered by the fact that Megan is weird about reading things in chronological order, which of course means starting out with the random evil Mormons. I tend to think that starting on The Speckled Band or The Red Headed League works somewhat better, really.
- Am really enjoying the huge file of Yuletide fic on my Kindle. It is pretty great.
- Oh! I meant to post about this a couple days ago. Los padres gave me a digital camera for Christmas, which allows me to take pictures of my crocheting and post them online and I wish to brag about my tapestry work gloves.
First, the gloves I made Dad for Christmas. I'm really quite proud of these:

Next, my nerdy Lovecraft gloves. Good for warding off Elder Things and Flying Polyps. And, also, the cold.

And that is my day today.
*Admittedly, I tend to think that most people would like Sherlock Holmes stories. I also tend to think that most people would like Starman, Doctor Who, and Bride of Frankenstein, though, so what do I know?
