Yesterday, I finished a spinning project I've been working on on-and-off since January. My sister gave me
for my birthday and my mom gave me this one for Christmas. They've both got the same shade of blue, so I decided to ply them together as a combo spin.



This is one quarter of the yarn - I've got three more of these, but they've already been wound into balls.

It makes a lovely skein and I had to see what it looked like knit up, so I decided on this shawl and cast on this morning.

You guys, I'm pretty sure this shawl is going to be super funky looking and possibly mildly hideous, because the bright colors are so bright and the blue-and-white fiber was extremely randomized in where the colors were, so there's no predicting how they matched up against the other fiber. I'm so excited about this very bright ugly shawl I'm making.

Oh, that is so pretty! It makes me think of the beach, like citrus and salt water and sand.
