I have a poetry book from the library that I have to return today and have thus been typing up some poems in order to keep them. Therefore, I thought I would share one that I particularly like.

Dear library patron,

If you ask me if a certain dvd is "still floating around the system" and you actually want to know the answer, maybe you should consider not walking away in the middle of the transaction.

Especially if you what you really want is for me to place a hold on the item.

I cannot communicate telepathically with you from across the library and I'm not going to shout.



ETA - Over an hour later, still the same gripe. Why would you walk away in the middle of a transaction before I have given you your change?
