Dear everybody,

I think that, if you have a class full of second graders that you want to take on a field trip to the library, you should maybe let the library know what day you're coming and not just show up at the library unannounced.

(She had talked to the branch manager several weeks ago in a "maybe we can talk later about scheduling this" kind of way. That is not enough advance warning, lady.)

That is not good at all - if you want a tour in the middle of my workday, when we're open, you hope that I'm not busy, and you schedule an appointment. Showing up with your group unannounced is likely to get you politely laughed at.
