Sep. 24th, 2012 08:46 amBack in January, I started knitting myself a sweater. It was a fairly simply pullover raglan henley, in a sort of goldish-brownish-yellowish yarn. I got the body of it knit and then it started getting warmer and I put it aside for the summer. A couple weeks ago, I picked it up again to knit the sleeves and the neckline. I finished the knitting last night and now just have to weave in the ends and sew on the buttons and I can wear it. When it gets cool enough. 8)
It's possible that I already have plans for the next sweater. I may have ordered yarn for it last night.
See, I have this hooded sweatshirt I wear all the time - it's navy blue and says Miskatonic University on it and I love it. But I've had it for several years and it's got a lot of wear on the cuffs and a hole in the elbow and is generally beginning to look a little sad. So I have decided to knit an somewhat equivalent cardigan sweater that can become my new comfortable-casual-layering garment. So the new sweater will also be navy and will have a hood and pockets and maybe thumbholes in the cuffs so that I can pull them up over my hands. And will also be a mostly-stockinette raglan thing, so it should be easy and knit up pretty quickly. (Hopefully, I will be able to wear it this year.) I'm excited about it.
