darchildreAlas, yesterday's cake did not work out. I mean, I made it right but it called for whole wheat flour and, turns out, the whole wheat flour we had was...really old. So the resulting cake had a funny taste and made me feel a little ill. This is not conclusive evidence that the cake was bad, as many foods make me ill, but I decided not to take chances and thus disposed of it. So now there is no cake.
The bread and honey spread turned out very nicely though.
So, I'm kinda thinking that perhaps I will make a different cake today. I have a very nice looking lemon cake recipe, though I don't have any lemons. I am debating whether I should go to the store or just try an experiment and do the cake with limes. Or oranges. Hmm.
