Mar. 14th, 2012 06:30 pmAlas, the vinegar pie is not a success. It is almost a success - I like the aftertaste of the pie - but the taste while it's in my mouth is far too vinegary. It's not inedible, but I don't care for it much.
I might try it again some time, cutting the vinegar down to maybe two tablespoons instead of three (and maybe adding a little salt to the filling) but for now, we will mark it off as a bold experiment that didn't work out.
Ah, well. Such is the lot of experiment cooking.
