So, I'm planning to make my February Family Pie Club pie this week (pie crust tonight, filling tomorrow, pie on Saturday), which means that I am looking at recipes. I know what pie I'm making (not telling till it's made!) but one link leads on to another link and now I have all these tabs of other things that I would like to bake.
For instance! A few years ago, I made Queijadas de Sintra*, which came out pretty well except for the fact that the crust was extremely tough. Well, now I know how to make a much better pie crust and would really like to try them again.
Except that a) I am already making pie and b) my parents are doing this thing where they only eat sweets one day a week, which means that if I make sweet things, it's mostly just me eating them. (Granny will eat sweets occasionally, but not very often.) And I made cookies last weekend, so there are probably already enough sweets around.
Maybe I will make queijadas next weekend.
*I realize that cinnamon cheese tarts sound kinda weird, but they are seriously delicious and you should try them. If I'm not going to make them, someone else should.
