darchildreSo I got the restore disc from Dell tonight.
It does not contain the operating system.
So I go on the same help chat I went on last time and tell them about my problem. I get shunted to another chat that I can't actually use because my computer is out of warranty. So now I have to call someone and talk to them about it and I just can't deal with that tonight.
I had a crappy day, you guys, and was really looking forward to fixing my computer. I mean, I figured out what I had to do, I talked to people, I did everything I was supposed to, and it didn't work. And now I have to do even harder things in order to fix the thing that was supposed to be fixed already and it isn't fucking fair.
And the worst part is that I feel bad saying that because it's childish and really, my computer not working isn't that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, oh my first world problems. So I feel stupid and whiny on top of feeling miserable.
I hate everything and am going to bed. I am fucking done with January 2012. It has been miserable.

Or they thought that people would use the OS discs to reinstall the system without their crapware, and that just was unacceptable.
In all cases, however, there is serious RAGE about not actually getting an OS disc.
