Things of today:
- Had a meeting this morning at 9 am: cash register refresh training. Boring as all hell, but at least they had cookies.
- The facilities guys put some corkboard up at Kingston today and the spray adhesive they used is making me feel slightly nauseated. Bleurgh.
- A thing I am slowly discovering: if there's no pressing reason for me to actually make a phone call myself, many people are okay with making phone calls for me. For instance, if both my coworker and I understand a situation, I can say, "Would you mind calling them?" and, most of the time the answer is going to be "Yes." This may not seem worth mentioning, but knowing that I can ask for help and get it (without any of the humiliating consequences I always imagine) is kind of a big deal for me. So that's good.
- Tell me that I should not buy more sock yarn. I do not need more sock yarn, no matter how pretty the socks were that I made with their Blue Yonder yarn and how gorgeous the Nevermore is. (And the Thunderhead, and Pearlescent, and the Springtime, and yeah, okay, I would make socks out of all of those.) I have a lot of sock yarn - buying more would be silly.
