Having finished Jax's doll, I find that I am still in something of a doll making mood. So I finally put together the mad scientist doll whose pieces have been lurking around my room for a couple months and stuck him up on my etsy shop.
I have plans for a zombie doll and I want to make another fish person to put up in the shop as well. The thing is that I am almost out of iconic monster archetypes - I've done the Frankenstein's monster and the Bride, a mad scientist, Dracula (and Renfield, but that one's just for me), a wolfman (not terribly successful), and a fish person. The zombie will be happening soon, once I figure out how I want to do it. There's mummies, I guess? I have no idea how I'd manage that. The Phantom of the Opera and the Invisible Man are...tricky to crochet, I think. Are there archetypal monsters that I'm missing?
I guess if we move forward to the 50's, there's aliens. And giant bugs. Those aren't really my kind of monster, though.
Hmm.
