In crafting news:
Recently, I have been working on two projects: my purple skirt that I've been working on since July, and a doll for Jax. The skirt was finished on Sunday and the doll will be done as soon as I go to Jo-Ann's and buy appropriate buttons for the eyes. (In the mail on Thurday!) So I am wearing the skirt today.
I am amazingly pleased with it. I think that I need to get a purple ribbon and make a little drawstring for the waist, as it's just slightly too big, but other than that it is gorgeous and wonderful. There will probably be pictures later, as I want to show off.
Which is the whole of the reason I wore it to work today. So that people can look at it and say "Wow, that's lovely - did you make it?" And only one person so far has asked me if I knit it, so altogether things are awesome.
Of course, that means that I am currently between projects. The skirt managed to last through a period of "Oh god, I don't want to crochet" and right back into a period of "I want to crochet constantly", which I am probably about halfway through. So the plan is to make this next, though not in pink. I found a lovely dark greenish-blue from knitpicks and have ordered it.
I really want my yarn, you guys.
