Unrelated things:
- Today, I made chocolate couscous. It was not entirely a success, but it is certainly a thing that I believe I could work on until it becomes amazing. Which I will. Yes.
- I have on bright yellow-green nailpolish that I found in my medicine cabinet yesterday and decided to apply because it is a shade of green that I associate with tentacles and chemical formulae that reanimate the dead. My sister saw my nails this morning and said, "Oh, what a nice color! It's so spring-ish!" Which goes to show you the difference that perspective makes.
- This weekend, I remembered that Netflix has all of the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series available for streaming. About which, two things. 1) I have this idea that I have seen much more of Mr Brett's Holmes than I actually have. Now that it is so easily available, I think I will have to watch all of it just so that I can get my perceptions to match up with reality. 2) Jeremy Brett's Holmes should not work. He is ridiculous and completely over the top and seriously, like a space alien or something and it should not work but it really really does and that is amazing. Also, he is occasionally weirdly visually arresting, like I have to pause the video and just stare for a few seconds. It's distracting.
And those are things that are occurring to me right now.
