Jul. 23rd, 2009 02:53 pmThings that are irritating today:
- 9 o'clock financial meetings are of the devil. Even if the main gist of the meeting was "Things look better! Hurrah!"
- Ma'am, I realize that you are trying to give me a compliment and I appreciate that you like my work but on the List of Things Not to Say to Crocheters, "That almost looks knitted!" ranks pretty high.
- People, I know that the school use odd reading-level systems and that they may be what you're used to. What you have to understand is that they are not always standardized between schools. And that, even if they were, I do not know what they mean. Telling me that your son "is a 2.0" does not actually help me find him an appropriate book.
Despite this, I am actually having a really good day. I got to crochet during the meeting and many people complimented my socks-in-progress, the weather is perfect (overcast and warm but breezy), and those were the only three annoying people I've been in contact with today. Overall, I am winning.
