There was a mixup with work this morning - I had requested the day off and had gotten the request approved, but somehow it disappeared from the schedule website, so my supervisor texted me to tell me I was late and ask if everything was okay. I still had the confirmation email approving my request that I was able to forward to her, so I still have my day off and everything is fine but:

a) Stressful

b) I feel oddly offended about it. Like, how dare you accuse me of not showing up when I'm scheduled to, I have never been even 5 minutes late for work without letting someone know in my life.

I feel like my honor has been impugned.

Ugh. That's a fine thing, to assume that the fault is always the employee and never the system. Good that you had your documentation, but it sounds like that could have been handled far better.
