Mar. 14th, 2023 05:14 pmThings:
- The weather has suddenly decided to be spring, which means I have to do the traditional yearly scramble to figure out Transitional Clothes. I suppose it might be time to put my heavier sweaters away, alas.
- Tomorrow is my last day of work this week, because then I am going on a trip! My sister and I are going to New York, to see Sweeney Todd, and also going to spend a couple days doing Things of Historical Interest in Philadelphia with one of my sister's internet friends who lives there. I'm trying to convince them that we should go to the Mutter Museum.
( - Someday, I am going to plan a solo trip back to the east coast to go to a bunch of museums I either missed or didn't appreciate as a child. I keep saying this - I really should start planning it in earnest. The trouble is that every time I mention it, one of my sisters declares an interest in tagging along and they are both bad at concrete planning. Honestly, the only reason my upcoming trip got planned is that my sister's friend bought tickets for the show, so we had an actual date to build around and a built-in deadline for making decisions. I really should just schedule the trip for my own convenience and then let my sisters join if they're able.)
- Today, I am boggled by the number of library patrons who will look up an item they want on our catalog computer, manage to read enough to discover that it's checked, but not manage to read the words right next to the check in status that would tell them that yes, it's checked in, but in a branch halfway across the county. They're always so confused that the book they want isn't here. I am always confused at the fact that people don't read more of the screen.

Date: 2023-03-15 07:53 pm (UTC)If I really want someone to come with me, I will go as far as planning 2-3 alternate dates/itineraries beforehand, so I can present options to avoid schedule conflicts. But TBF, I enjoy coming up with itineraries, so it's worth the effort to me; it might not be for you.
I SO want to go to the Mutter Museum, btw. I have a friend in Philly that I need to visit someday, and that will be at the top of my itinerary.
