I have had my shoulder grabbed or patted from behind four times at choir tonight. By three different women.

Swear to god, I'm going to start biting people.

I've found some luck with jerking/acting overly startled. But you shouldn't have to at all, because people should not touch other people without permission!

Alas, noticeably flinching and moving away, possibly making a surprised noise, is my unnatural/unfeigned reaction to being touched unexpectedly, and one of these women still did it twice. I did finally say something to her, so hopefully that's one less person to worry about. If she remembers by next week.

And yes, "not touching" is and should be the default. It's constantly shocking how many older women don't seem to think that's true.
