I am on vacation next week (yay!) and my parents are also going away on a little trip (double yay!). This will be the first time I've had more than 8 hours solely to myself in a year and a half, so I'm very excited about it.
When I have staycation-style vacations like this, I like to have a defined project to work on - I enjoy leisure time more when I have something fun to focus on. Often that is a craft thing that I can finish by the end of vacation - in the past I've done sewing projects, or made complicated paper models, or simple bookbinding - but right now, craftwise, I am focused on knitting my sweater and don't want to put more crafts in the mix or do more knitting per day than I'm already doing. So instead, this week's project is to dig out several of my board games that are designed to allow solo play and play all of them. I have a couple that I've either bought and then never played, or played only once or twice and haven't fully grasped. So next week, I'm going to learn all of my games well enough that I don't have to figure everything out from scratch every time I want to play.
Also, the only time I can play Arkham Horror is when no one else is here, as that game is enormous and takes up the entirety of the kitchen table for several hours, so.
