Reading* Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time is basically like listening to someone retell a week-long Microscope campaign in chronological order. I love it. The human story has grown on me, but god, I would read a dozen books that wanted to tell me elaborate thousand-year histories of the evolution of alien civilizations.

I am about 2/3 of the way through the audiobook and I have the sequel for when I'm finished. I hope it is also a Microscope campaign.




*Or listening to, rather, since I am doing it via audiobook.

Thank you, but no. I've only got three hours left in The first one, which means I'll likely start the sequel tomorrow and I think I'd like to be surprised.
