darchildre: text: library rules 1) silence 2) books must be returned by due date 3) do not interfere with the nature of causality (library rules)

A little over a month ago, it was announced that my library system would be reopening in March. On the 22nd, to be precise. Which felt a little rushed, to be honest, but okay, let's do it. (I was extremely excited, because I had already requested the 22nd off before the announcement.) And then there were delays and concerns and problems, so we didn't open. I got a text from my manager on the evening of the Friday before letting me know, and we continued on as we had been for another week, which making more preparations to open on the 29th instead.

So there was more prep and more safety training and more logistical discussions and so many more new signs. And then, not half an hour ago, I got another text from my manager.

And we are not reopening tomorrow either. New projected date is next Monday.

You guys, I am an anxious person and I hate and fear change. But what I hate and fear more is uncertainty, because you can't prepare for that. And this "We're going to open!" "Oh no we're not!" is honestly making me extremely crazy.

My sympathies. That would be enough to make anyone anxious. ♥
