This year, in April, I bought a five year diary - I was going to try to write a description of the pages but it occurs to me that it would be easier to just link to the diary instead. Obviously, since I bought it in April, that's when I started writing in it, which means that the top row of the first four months are blank. I've now gotten to the end and am about to start writing from the beginning again.

write the entries for 2021 in the second row all year
4 (57.1%)

start 2021 in the top row and then move down to the second when I get to my first entry for 2020
3 (42.9%)

The first option is aesthetically cleaner, probably, while the second allows me to use the whole diary without being annoyed about four months of blank space.

I suppose I have till bedtime tonight (I write the day's entry right before bed) to decide.

I would use the empty 2020 slots for drawings.

Hm I'd probably do the second row to have everything for one year together and then the last wrapup would go in the top to finish it off so the first/last year made up a full set, but I think I'd just be more bothered that the row didn't really indicate the same year than have some blanks at the top.
