So, back in August, I signed up to get the 12 Days of Christmas spinning fiber set from Inglenook Fibers. The idea is that you get a bag that has 12 tiny packages of fiber in mystery colors and you open one for each of the 12 days of Christmas. (I mean, I will be opening mine during Yule, but the idea is the same.) And they sell companion braids - braids of single-color wool that will complement all the mystery colors in the set. I got one of those as well. I've seen people on ravelry post their 12 Days spinning for the last couple years but this is the first time I managed to catch the sign-ups.
My wool arrived on Thursday.
I am extremely thankful that I did buy a companion braid, as I can start spinning that now* and it will keep me from going ahead and opening any of the wee packages as they are a Sore Temptation.
*Though not immediately today because I have a project I need to finish on the spindle I want to use for the companion braid that I should be able to get done this afternoon. And then I can start the new stuff!
