My manager has been talking about needing to buy craft eyes for a project she's doing (a stuffed animal thing) but she doesn't want to order them online because she'll end up with too many eyes than she needs.

I'm trying to convince her that she could just bring the excess eyes to the library and we could attach them to various objects around the building, like bookshelves or doorstops or computers, in eldritch clusters.

Look, our library already has a somewhat weird and spooky reputation because of Frances, and the bathroom ghosts, and the lighting ghosts, and our yearly cursed object exchange. I don't see why we can't also be the library that is Constantly Watching.

There's an online picture I keep running across of where someone stuck those eyes on every item in a fridge. It looked great... if a little unsettling. :D

The additional eyes would be appropriate, certainly, although I'd want to transform them into small pieces of a library-wide display on privacy.
