Today in "solving a problem accidentally by first solving a different problem":

So, last week, I made some dresser drawer sachets because I don't like the way my clothes smell when they've been stored in my dresser for too long. They're very simple things - just lavender and rice and lemon peel, with a little bit of a lemon-eucalyptus essential oil that I had from another project - but they smell nice.

And because they smell nice, I have become significantly more likely to actually fold my clothes and put them away because I will be rewarded by nice smells the next time I put them on. All of my laundry that goes in the dresser is actually in the dresser, which hasn't happened in over a year.

I mean, it's only been a week, so I don't know if I can sustain this habit yet, but I am currently very pleased with myself.

Neat! Nice when the knock-on effects are so helpful.

There's nothing quite like positive reinforcement!
