It's just referring to weather conditions - hello, Seattle area, it is autumn now! - but there is something spookily ominous (in an enjoyable way) about getting a newspaper with a headline saying "The Big Dark is coming."

Good job, Seattle Times. That's the most October thing you could have done today.
