A question meme, borrowed from

Are you more sad or happy? It's winter now, so I am more happy than sad. That flips in the summer. Summer is the worst.
Favorite comfort reading? When I am garden-variety sad, I like to read epic/high fantasy, ideally on the hopepunk end of the spectrum. When I am depressed, I like to read cosmic horror. (I think there's something about the idea that the universe fundamentally doesn't care about me that I find obscurely comforting. Possibly it's the reassurance that bad things aren't my fault?)
Favorite comfort watching? Re-Animator remains my "Today sucked and now I'm going to try to feel better" movie.
What do you like about rain? Everything. I like the sound of pouring rain, or pattering rain. I like listening to rain while I fall asleep. I like how soft, misting rain feels on my skin, or looks on the windshield of my car. I like the green metallic smell of it. I like sunbreaks and the way the light slants and refracts through the water. I like puddles. I like the smell of mud. I like being inside and knowing that I'm warm and dry, even if it's cold and wet outside. I like my olive green wool rain hat. I like the way the rainclouds sit on the grey water of the Sound in winter, so you can't tell where the horizon is. I like rainbows.
What's the best thing that happened to you this week? I bound off the buttonband of my cardigan last night and, gods willing and the creek don't rise, it will be wearable by Friday.
Imagine you're on a very long train journey (days and days!) - what would be your favorite pastime during this journey? Knitting while listening to audiobooks/podcasts, or reading a long novel. That's what I do on traintrips now, anyway, though I've never taken one more than a few hours long. But that's what I do whenever I have free time and I'm sitting down. 8)
Name two of your dreams: one that you really hope/plan will come true one day, and one that you're sure won't come true, but wouldn't it be great though?! Number 1: I really am going to finish spinning all the wool I bought to make into yarn to then make into a sweater, and I'll do it all in time to wear next winter. Number 2: When I have a bad day, I indulge in what I think of as My Fantasy Cottage Life, which involves imagining that I live in a cottage in the woods and no one ever bothers me. I know exactly what the cottage looks like, down to individual bowls in the cupboards. It's quiet and I get a lot of yarncrafts done. I will never actually live in this cottage, but I like thinking about it.
