- I haven't slept properly since this weekend, for no reason I can really point to. It sucks, though.
- I got my covid booster yesterday. The past two years have completely eliminated any fear of shots I had, but that doesn't actually make the process of getting the shot less stressful. Mostly because the stress comes from all of the human interaction that leads up to getting the shot, which is the worst part of anything, really. But now I've got it and my arm is only a little sore.
- Just had an absolutely infuriating conversation with a coworker wherein she tried to convince me that I'm not a picky eater because I eat a few things she doesn't. I suppose people think they're being kind when I say things like "I'm shy" or "I'm a picky eater" and they come back with "No you're not!" but it always feels extremely rude and invalidating to me. I know these things about myself; you don't get to say that I'm wrong because you saw me eat broccoli or have a conversation one time, especially if you only see my carefully constructed public face.
- One and a half days until my trip to Portland! I am very excited. I've really missed going on this trip and it's great to be able to do it again. Traveling alone is restful in ways that being at home alone aren't and I'm really looking forward to it.
