- The holidays went pretty well. We played a lot of boardgames and ate a lot of baked goods and ham and no one got upset at anyone else and it was a lovely time.
- I had taken vacation for the week leading up to Christmas, and was supposed to start back yesterday. And then it snowed on the 26th, and again yesterday, and it's supposed to snow again tonight and the library hasn't reopened yet. I am maybe hoping that it stays closed till the new year, mostly because that would be funny.
- Megan spent an extra day here due to snow, but did manage to get back to Seattle yesterday. Which makes today the first full day without guests and it's lovely.
- A few weeks ago, Mom and I had a discussion about potential replacing our normal dishwashing sponges* with reusable knitting scrubby things, so yesterday I started knitting some. It turns out that if I don't have anything else to do, I can knit three dishcloths in one day. My goal is to have 8 to start (4 of two different designs) and then I can make more as they wear out.
- I'm in a weird place right now where I have a bunch of projects that I'm excited to start but, due to various reasons, I'm not starting any of them until January, which means that now I can't do anything but wait. It is mildly frustrating.
