An exciting-to-me discovery: apparently, drinking tea with milk (which I don't normally do) somehow tricks the part of my brain that thinks evening time is dessert time into believing that I have consumed a satisfying treat, rather than drinking more of the same beverage I drink 85% of the time. Right now, I am alternating between autumnal-flavored black teas and matcha lattes and it's great. (Matcha is also a new-to-me discovery that I'm thoroughly enjoying.)

I am occasionally disappointed that caffeine appears to have no effect on me at all* - being able to drink a beverage and feel more alert seems like D&D magic - but being able to drink tea at bedtime and not be kept up is also pretty cool.

*Not entirely true - if I drink excessive amounts of coffee in a short period of time (like a whole pot within an hour, which I did once in an effort to see if there was a way I could enjoy drinking coffee), eventually I will have an anxiety attack. I don't seem to derive any actual benefit from it, though. Also it turns out that no, I just don't like coffee at all.
