- I did end up going to work and it was...okay. I feel like I'm operating on about 75% capacity, which is manageable. I'm hoping to be up to at least 80% by tomorrow.
- I made cheesy cauliflower soup for my lunches this week (before I got sick) and it does not quite agree with me at present but it's still delicious so I am continuing to eat it and just Dealing With the inevitable complaints from my digestive tract. My digestive tract complains about nearly everything I put in it that isn't bread and butter anyway, so this is nothing new.
- I had bought some new toys from Stimtastic a few days ago and they arrived today so now I have a box full of exciting things that have Good Textures or make Good Sounds or both. Plus, I got a new chewy thing, which I have been in need of. It's great.
- Have I talked about stimtastic before? They are explicitly aimed at autistic folks but I have found that a lot of the stuff on their website is also generally good for helping with my fidgety tendencies or soothing certain kinds of anxiety. I keep one of their silicone chewy things on me most of the time because I find that chewing makes me feel a lot less anxious and using that keeps me from biting myself. And they sell a lot of small quiet fidget toys that I use during meetings or in situations where I'm trying to pay consistent attention and knitting isn't possible. Plus, they're very affordable. Highly recommended.
