Mar. 31st, 2012 04:15 pmWell, this morning I took Katie and Dad to the airport and then drove home. I managed to get on I-5 in the wrong direction for a few miles because I'm an idiot, but I did get turned around and home, so I think everything worked out.
This afternoon, I feel like being quietly productive and also I want bread and cake. So I am making bread and cake. And brown-butter-honey-spread. The cake is in the oven and the bread is rising. I did possibly make the bread stupidly, because I didn't notice that the recipe told me to divide the flour until I had already mixed all of it with the other dry ingredients, but the dough seems to be rising okay, so hopefully things will work out. If not, I will still have cake.
So that's something.
