darchildre: second doctor playing solitaire (bored now)
Things:

- At choir last night, the director announced that we are no longer going to be performing "America" (from West Side Story). My relief cannot be properly expressed.

- Jack seems to be settling in pretty well. This morning, he followed me around the kitchen the whole time I was making lunch. Possibly, he thought I was going to give him something. In any case, it was pretty adorable.

- He does not sit right under your feet during food prep, though. (It wouldn't really work if he did - he's pretty large.) I still miss my Rosie.

- We had volunteers in the library this morning to do extensive dusting. I love that people volunteer and that they want to help us out - that is awesome and those people should be commended and showered with appreciation. But I wish they wouldn't not a) steal all my carts, and b) be constantly in my way.

- It is a pretty quiet afternoon otherwise, so I am doing random internet browsing. Things about the internet that are awesome, #1098: The Bone Room. I could buy a skull over the internet! How cool is that?

- Though, in truth, I don't want a skull. (Well, maybe a small one I could keep in my pocket.) Really, I would buy finger bones. Alas, they seem to be sold out.

More things:

- My copy of All Eternals Deck came in the mail today. I am listening to it right now. Whee!

- So, while Megan was home over spring break, we watched a lot of Chuck. Which is a fun show, but not one that really catches my interest fannishly. However, it does remind me of the existence of Firefly (due to the presence of Adam Baldwin), so this morning I put mosca's Like Describing the Alphabet on my kindle and have been reading it today. Gosh, but that's still a lovely story. And still the only Firefly story I really needed, somehow. ExpandBabble about fic )

- What with rereading Firefly fic, I'm kinda thinking of maybe watching Firefly again. Which, in turn, makes me think about rereading the Dark Tower series. And on the one hand, it's been a long time and I'm sure I'd enjoy it. But on the other hand, I have something like 12 library books out right now and one is an interlibrary loan that I haven't even started and the other thing about Megan being home this past week is that she made me want to reread Grapes of Wrath and oh god, too many books. My life, so hard. I think Roland is just going to have to wait.
