darchildre: cooper and truman looking interested and somewhat skeptical (cooper and truman)
A series of irritated fake letters that comprise my day thus far:

Dear the people who walk/jog on Noll Road in Poulsbo,

Would it kill you to walk against traffic? There are no sidewalks, the shoulders are nonexistent, and there's a huge curve that drivers can't see around. I'm just saying, walking with the traffic seems more likely to kill you at this point.

Dear the people who make the internal handout materials for the library,

The Oxford comma really is your friend, I promise. I know that they teach "when in doubt, leave it out" in schools, but it is a lie. I love the Oxford comma and you should too. (I love commas in general, though. Rather to excess.)

Dear the collection management people,

So. We started out with all the Curious George books under "Rey". That's cool - the originals were written by Margaret and H. A. Rey. Then you decided that, since there were a lot of newer (fanfic) Curious George books, we would put them all under "Curious". A little bit of a hassle, but also cool and totally understandable.

But now you have decided that the Curious George books that were written by the Reys should go under "Rey" and the newer one should go under "Curious". And, okay, I can kinda understand your logic there, except that it makes everything confusing for both the staff and the patrons and I cannot for the life of me understand who benefits from this change.

Seriously, what the hell?
