Sep. 23rd, 2014 09:11 pmSo, I watched the first half of the first episode of Gotham on my dinner break tonight. And generally enjoyed it.
However. Usually, I do not experience inappropriate giggles during Batman origin stories. But during Gotham, all that went through my head during the death of Bruce Wayne's parents was Hal Lublin's voice shouting "My parents died at sea!"
And that is why The Thrilling Adventure Hour in general and Philip Fathom, Deep Sea Detective, in specific are bad for people who want to unironically enjoy Batman stories.
