darchildreTomorrow, the parentals and I are driving to Santa Barbara to help my sister move back to Seattle. (I will, alas, be sans computer for a week - at least I'll have my phone.)
On the one hand, it is probably not going to be the most fun week ever, as it will be full of driving and sleeping on floors and loading moving trucks and more driving. (We may spend a day at Disney Land in there somewhere, though. So that's cool.)
On the other hand, tomorrow I will be spending the entire day riding in a car that I will not be driving, with snacks and my kindle and my knitting and my ipod. This is not quite as good as spending the day on a train, as when I ride the train it's by myself and thus there is no talking to people at all and no potential for dealing with stress on the part of the driver, but it's still pretty great.
I'm really looking forward to that part. It sounds very relaxing.
