So, yesterday marked the first time in years that I've actually been home on Easter. Not that we did anything - my family has never had any big Easter traditions, other than the consumption of chocolate - but not being at Norwescon means being outside the isolating bubble of nerdy that kept me from realizing that Easter: that is a thing people do.
Huh.
For me, it's kinda like Valentine's Day, in that it's a holiday that I guess other people do a lot for but that I would rather ignore entirely (except for the cheap candy the next day.) Unlike Valentine's Day*, there's no actual reason for my vague resentment of Easter but it exists nonetheless. I mean, if you celebrate Easter, I hope that you had a nice holiday! I am just a little grumpy, I suppose.
Though, tomorrow I will probably try to buy some Cadbury mini-eggs, so that's exciting.
*There is no actual reason that St Patrick's Day fills me with grar either, but it does. I maintain that my dislike of Valentine's is completely legitimate, though.
