darchildreThe best thing about waking up this week has been my daily countdown to September.
I know we haven't actually had much heat or anything here this year (apologies to those who did) but man, I am so ready for summer to be over. It's amazing to me how much the idea of autumn is a relief this year. I keep thinking of cooler, darker days and sweaters and rain and that slant of sunlight you only get in October and how much I want those things.
It won't actually get much cooler for a while but just being September will help.
