darchildreOkay, so I totally want to make the bloomers. And then I would have bloomers! They'll be nice to wear on their own on days off in the summer and nice to wear under skirts in the winter.
I think I'm going to start with a black pair, because that way they will go with most of my skirts, as well as being a color I'll feel comfortable wearing as outerwear. So, this weekend, I'm going to Joann's to buy some yarn - hopefully a reasonably priced cotton/acrylic blend - and appropriately sized needles. (That is the main difference between knitting and crocheting for me - with crocheting, I don't have to buy new hooks every time I start a project, because I already have a collection built up from years of crocheting. If I wanted to crochet something with a hook smaller than B or larger than K, yeah, I would have to buy one but...that doesn't ever happen to me.)
I really love making things I can wear. I crocheted afghans and toys for a really long time before it really occurred to me that I could, y'know, make clothing. And now I'm sitting here, wearing socks that I knit and a top I crocheted, and it's awesome.
