I am making a new rule. My new rule is: No More Violating Pregnant Women In My Sci-fi TV. I am done with that shit. And hell, I'm making it easy. I'm not saying No More Violating Women, though the gods know I should be. No, I know better than to expect anything like that. Fucking baby steps, right? Just Pregnant Women. Just Sci-fi TV. Think of some other way to menace your female characters. That one is over. Stop it.

No More Violating Pregnant Women In My Sci-fi TV.

And I wish that this ep had not pissed me off so much because, on the other hand, there was stuff I really liked. There was Henry, and there was Charlie being adorable and apparently dating the bug girl, and there was Lincoln Lee being in love with Olivia, and there was Alternate!Olivia being a real person instead of a villain caricature, and loving her mother and worrying about her life and being badass because she was Olivia Dunham. (Dear Fandom - when you write the AU about how Olivia and Lincoln Lee and Charlie all raise Olivia's baby together while continuing to be badass Fringe agents, you'll let me know, right?) Why can I not have that stuff without the show breaking my new rule?

Grar.

I wonder what kind of plots would be needed to follow the rule.

Also, creeeeeeepy, regarding the end.

Not at all. i realize that musing came out wrong, and I was imagining all these writers going "What? Now we have to avoid that? What do they want? Passing the Bedchel Test, too?" and getting smacked around by the fans in response.
