It's not as much my dream home as Castle Frankenstein but if I can't get Castle Frankenstein, I would totally take Hjalmar Poelzig's crazy Deco house. It too has a beautiful staircase - seriously, look at that. Isn't that gorgeous?
And you get the crazy basement too. Throw in the cat and I'm totally there. (I don't much want the boxes of dead women but I assume that Mr Poelzig would take those away with him.)
Also, even if it didn't have the wonderful set design, fun plot, and marvelous acting, this film would be completely worth it just to hear Mr Lugosi say "baloney".
