Nov. 9th, 2010 04:12 pmOh, Patrons:
- If you have a late item and you renew it, you still owe a fine for the days before it was renewed. No, really. The renewal does not magically erase that fine.
- Had a lady who asked me if she had fines. She did and I told her how much, then gave her my usual spiel about how she doesn't have to pay today if she doesn't want to. She then looked at me and said, "Why would anyone want to do that?" I don't know how to explain that some people don't want to spend money if they don't have to.
- Had another lady ask me if we had a limit on checkouts because her kid was picking out too many books. When I told her that our limit is 100 items, she said, "Well, that's not the limit I wanted." Ma'am, it's not like I'm going to make you check out 100 books. You've got to limit your kid yourself.
Today is kind of a grumbly day.
