The thing about having the same thing for breakfast every day is that when you are careless and run out of that thing (because, for example, your Dad - who normally does the grocery shopping - has been in Asia for the past three weeks), it really screws up your morning routine.

It's not that I can't eat things that aren't bagels for breakfast. It's that we have no acceptable toastable substitutes and everything else has to be cooked.

Oh man I know what that's like. Whenever I'm groggy in the morning and moving on autopilot, something as simple as my cup not being in the correct freezer drawer has me staring at the freezer for a minute before I work out what to do.
