So. I am not with the updating of late. That is because my brain goes, "Well, I could go on the internet and update my lj. Or I could listen to Sherlock Holmes radio plays/watch Doctor who and work on my skirt."

I am kinda in an obsessive crocheting place right now, so the skirt has mostly been winning. And I have listened to a lot of Sherlock Holmes because that is apparently one of my cycling fandoms where I don't think about it for two months and then I obsess for another two* before it dies back again. And yesterday, I watched several episodes of Doctor Who, so that now I have gotten through the first half of the season up through Amy's Choice.


So that is River Song. Huh. Someday, I really am going to have to go back and finish watching season 4.

Venetian vampires = kinda silly. Fish people pretending to be Venetian vampires = kinda awesome. See, fish people make everything better. (They had lobster tails! That is so cool!)

Rory = most adorable thing. I love him and his stupid dream ponytail and his fending off fish-people-vampires with a broom. He is marvelous. And Amy is also marvelous and so is Eleven and I love that there is more than one companion in the TARDIS, hurrah, and I hope things continue that way.

Apparently next there are Silurians? So I get fish people and lizard people? Whee!



*Which almost always involves reading Norwood Builder several times. Y'know, if you had asked me a year ago what my favorite Sherlock Holmes story was, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have picked that one. But apparently it is.

Should be fun for you. Yes, best to go back and finish up S4, at least through the one that has River in it. You can probably skip out on the end and most of the specials, picking up with Waters of Mars and The End of Time. That way you can skip what happens to Donna in the end. (Grr.)

I'm not as much on the Silurians episode, but that might be because I hate the accurate lesson of both of those episodes.
