And then, y'know, I was looking for fanfiction to put on my kindle and came across a link to torch's China, which I haven't reread it years, so I did and it was just as excellent as I remember it being. So I thought, "Man, I used to have a lot of Highlander and X-Files fic in my bookmarks. I could put all of that on my kindle." Which necessitated tracking down new links to things and rereading bits of stories that I sort of remember but not quite and all in all, it has been an excellent afternoon. Except that now I want to rewatch Highlander and actually, y'know, watch the X-Files*.

I'm not actually going to do that, though. Because I do want to finish my Farscape rewatch and la familia is watching Glee, and Megan wants to make me watch Chuck and she wants to see Twin Peaks. Which is a lot of television. I do not have time for Highlander and the X-Files.

Stupid internet and its shiny tempting fanfic. Grar.

(I could just watch the Methos episodes. That wouldn't take that long...)




*Which I never actually did - X-Files is my quintessential "learn about the show from fic" fandom, which meant that at one point I knew an awful lot about Alex Krycek but not much about anything else.

Oh, yes. Methos is great.

My friend Marc embarked on a project during college to make Beth, Rhiannon, and I watch all of Highlander, including the movies. And, due to fandom, I had been spoiled for the existence of Methos (and for the fact that he and Duncan were apparently slashy as hell together), so I spent the first two and half seasons eagerly waiting for his first appearance and was so not disappointed.

Still. The rest of the show was fun, too. Maybe when I am done with Farscape, I will try to do a proper rewatch of Highlander as well.

It's such a good story! Long, and with an actual plot, and excellent characterization, and great smut. I hope that you enjoy it!
